A healthy diet for all age groups should include plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits that are a rich source of vitamins, minerals and fiber. Fiber is also beneficial as it helps in maintaining a healthy digestive system. One should also consume plenty of fish which are rich in omega 3 fatty acids and lean meats that are rich sources of protein required for ones healthy growth and development. Similarly a healthy diet should also include plenty of fresh drinking water and fluids.


On the other hand one should minimize the intake of junk foods, fried or sugary foods and foods like bacon, sausages and so on as they only provide the body with empty calories.
