People need to eat a
healthy and nutritious diet
to get through a day without feeling excessive fatigue, tiredness, drop in energy levels and depression. Eating the right diet is particularly essential for toddlers and children that are still growing and developing. They need to be eating the correct foods which provide them with the
vitamins and nutrients
for their bones to develop and their brains to develop etc. Even pregnant woman need to eat the correct foods which is particularly essential for their growing fetuses. Adequate water intake during the day also helps one’s body to digest all the food to eat less. Secondly, modifying one’s diet, to make it include about five or six smaller meals during the day and not three large meals just at breakfast, and lunch and dinner.
One should include lean protein, whole grains, fruits and plenty of vegetables in one’s meals. Avoid those foods that are high in sodium as salt can cause the body to bloat and thus retain water. Reducing the salt or sodium is essential for a
healthy diet
.
Hence avoid chips and crisps and fried foods as much as possible. It is essential to stay away from packaged food as they contain refined sugars, colorings, preservatives and various flavorings which are not at all beneficial to any human body. One should try to increase the fiber intake as much as possible in ones diet by eating plenty of green vegetables and fruits.
It is also essential to eat a
healthy and nutritious breakfast
every morning.
Protein shakes are also a great drink to help one get the needed nutrients fast especially for those like pregnant women and children. It is also useful for those who are in the athletic field and sports field. Try adding nuts to ones meals too.
Almonds, cashews, walnuts, apricots are a rich source of various vitamins and minerals that are essential for healthy growth and development. Try to make a simple fresh fruit salad. One can add a dash of lemon juice to the salad to give it a twist. Lemon juice is a rich source of Vitamin C. it is essential for good skin and helps in healing damaged skin. Whole wheat bread is another
healthy breakfast ingredient
. Simply dice up cucumber and tomato and make a healthy sandwich. One can try putting some almond butter and also adding some grapefruit to make a nutritious breakfast meal. Eating plenty of nuts like almonds, cashew nuts, raisins, pistachios, walnuts, and apricots is all very beneficial.
