Nobody wants to reveal their age and even if a person is growing with age, he/she would want to look for ways through which they can look younger. We are always looking for ways to somehow delay the process of aging as much as he can. A lot of people resort to different types of treatments or use a variety of products in order to look young. Aging, however, is not only about wrinkles but there are a number of signs that indicate the same. These include loss of memory, reduction in functioning of the brain, higher risk of getting severe diseases such as heart disease, cancer and so on.

These problems are associated with an increasing age and can be eliminated or delayed by eating the right food as it can push away the process of aging. Phytonutrients are said to play an important role in longevity and are very powerful ingredients that primarily belong to the antioxidant family found in a lot of foods and drinks.
 
You should be drinking plenty of water as that is the key to a younger looking skin and should drink about 8 to 10 glasses of water everyday.  There are a lot of anti aging fruits which should be consumed daily and almost all fresh fruits are rich sources of anti aging nutrients such as vitamin C, iron, folic acid, calcium and so on. Omega 3 fatty acids are also extremely essential for an anti aging diet as they play an important role in proper functioning of the brain and maintenance of skin. Sources of omega 3 fatty acids include majority of fish such a tuna, salmon and so on. Yogurt is also said to be very helpful for this purpose as it is a rich source of calcium. This enables you to have strong bones and also reduces your susceptibility to high blood pressure and a number of gastrointestinal problems such as diarrhea, constipation, colon cancer and other such conditions. 

Anti aging foods consists of a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits that are high in fiber, rich sources of antioxidants and anti inflammatory. It is advised that you have a minimum of 5 servings of these each day to attain maximum health benefits and try to add a lot of color to your plate by keeping a variety of foods. Whole grains are also necessary because they contain soluble fiber which in turn enables to lower the levels of blood cholesterol and you should try and have at least 3 servings of these per day. Legumes also form an important ingredient in the anti aging diets because they contain a lot of nutrients and very little calories. It is recommended you include them at least 3 to 4 times in a week in your diet. The above diet is similar for an anti wrinkle diet. Avocado is an excellent food because it helps you to maintain a healthy skin as well as fights the signs of aging. Garlic is another food that is very useful and especially aids in preventing cancer and heart disease in a person. Almost all the varieties of nuts are important and should be consumed on a regular basis. They promote proper functioning of the digestive system, immune system and also maintain cholesterol levels. Apart from these, there are other foods such as acai fruit, onions, barley, hot peppers, sprouts, beans, lentils and green foods like wheat grass that are great for an anti aging diet. Apart from eating healthy, it is also important you exercise regularly and abstain from bad habits such as smoking and drinking. You also need to reduce your intake of foods that are high in Trans fat and saturated fats.
